What Is Family Dentistry?
The goal of general and family dentistry is simple: help our patients and their families reach optimal oral health and maintain that health throughout their lives. Regular Exams and Cleanings
One of the best things you can do for your smile is to consistently visit our office for your regular dental check-ins. Ideally, we will see your family once every six months for these visits, during which, we will thoroughly clean your smile and examine the whole mouth for any emerging dental health concerns. This is the perfect time for our dentist and team to detect any oral health issues before they start, including dental issues that may be invisible to the naked eye such as oral cancer, impacted teeth or the early stages of periodontal disease. Using advanced in-house technology, such as our 3D printer and digital scanner, we can make every visit more comfortable and every diagnosis more precise than you remember from your own childhood dental visits.
Depending on the condition of teeth, we may recommend more frequent visits with our dentist until your smile has been returned to full health. This is often the case for those suffering from gum disease who need more in-depth cleanings than the ones offered during regular dental check-ins.
Regular Exams and Cleanings
Sometimes the unexpected happens. Even if you are exceptionally consistent with your at-home oral care, you can still chip or crack a tooth due to a sudden injury, accidentally break an oral appliance or damage a dental restoration. In these cases, the sooner you can reach our office for urgent oral attention, the sooner we can intervene to prevent negative long-term effects.
